Hi, I’m Cora, Welcome to my little corner of the internet, a place where I can share a few of my favorite things; baking, cooking and photography. Living in the Canadian prairies means that our winters are long and cold. What better way to spend these cold long winters than cooking and baking delicious meals for friends and family. Follow along with me on my food journey where I hope to inspire and tempt you to try new and exciting recipes.

I owe my love for baking to my mother and grandmother who are always an inspiration in the kitchen. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandmother and I and our “bake days” where we would spend the whole day baking and cooking everything you can think of from cookies, to soups, to perogies. When we weren’t cooking up a storm, we would be playing our favorite card game rummy, where she would always offer her fingers as I was “calculating” the score. Although my grandmother passed early 2020, her spirit comes to life whenever I am in the kitchen. This blog is dedicated to my dear grandmother, Elsie. You will be forever loved and missed.


The recipes shared on my blog are a reflection of what my life is about; as a wife and dog-mom with a full time job, I need easy meals, and simple delicious deserts that we all can enjoy.
