How to make oatmeal chocolate chip donuts

These donuts are so easy to make, there really isn’t much to it!

  • Into a medium sized bowl; combine all your dry ingredients together. Feel free to add more cinnamon if you desire, or maybe half a teaspoon of nutmeg in addition to the cinnamon. I should also note that I used Quaker quick oats.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk. you can use oat, or cashew milk instead of almond milk. I recommend the unsweetened version as the chocolate sweetens this recipe up perfectly.
  • Next you are going to want to combine the wet ingredients together and stir it up until combined, fold in the chocolate chips. In this recipe; I used 5 tablespoons of semi-sweet chocolate chips. you can use less if you desire. You may also use mini chocolate chips.
  • Fill up your 12 hole donut pan, and pop them into the oven. (I just used a spoon to fill up the donut wells) Bake for 15-17 minutes at 350F. It took mine exactly 16 minutes to bake. Check it at the 15 minute mark and gauge if it needs another minute or two. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean, and they should feel slightly springy to touch.
  • Cool on a wire rack completely and then store in an air tight container at room temp for up to 3 days. I like to leave a few out for snacking, and then pop the rest in the freezer for longer storage.
